Highlights Of The Scarborough Spa Express On The Knaresborough To Harrogate Line

Welcome to this part of my site featuring some pictures and video clips of The Scarborough Spa Express Steam Train. It has over the last 2 years been a Yorkshire tourist attraction with visitors and train spotters throughout the North East of England and I thought would be a great idea to compile a webpage about it. It also makes a very nice family day out and young children are very fascinated with ridding on a steam train. These particular pictures are highlights of the Knaresborough to Harrogate stretch of the line and is also the only surviving railway line in lower Nidderdale. Steam used to be the order of the day on these lines and it also brings me back to my childhood memories of the old steam trains on the Harrogate to Ripon line which ceased in the mid 1960s.
